The Cricketers Arms, on the corner of Jacklyn's Lane and Tichborne Down. At this time the club house for Alresford Golf Club was part of the Cricketer’s Arms and can be seen to the right of the white pub building. The large expanse of grass on the right of the road which leads to Tichborne is part of the golf club. c.1920. The Alresford bypass now runs between the Cricketer’s Arms and the grass area of the Golf Club.
