2022 INTRODUCTION

ALRESFORD, along with the whole of the world enters 2022 with daily life still continuing under varying world-wide restrictions and regulations, designed to combat the efects of the deadly virus.

The most recently identified strain of the virus (named as "Omicron”) is now the most prevalent and widespread strain throughout the world.

Despite the Omicron strain of the virus being the most easily transmissible, therefore causing a higher increase in infections, signs are begining to appear that the strain itself is having less impact on the number of hospital admissions and deaths.

It is hoped that the following collection of photographs, images and notices will portray, in a small way, how the town of Alresford adapted.

The full effect of the virus on the world and the tragic loss of life will be well documented by history in the fullness of time.
