“Hankins” The Hut Service Station. (A272/A32 cross roads). This photograph which was probably taken around the mid 1920’s shows an
AA or RAC patrolman standing in the forecourt of the service station with the advertising globes on the top of the petrol pumps displaying “Pratts” and “BP”.
It is believed the white building, which has since been demolished, and the service station, was on the present site now still occupied by a petrol filling station.
