The saw mills, c.1920, on land just below where the big barn is on the corner of Winchester Road/New Farm Road. The Thorne family who ran the timber business lived in New Farm House/Chapel c.1918 to 1947 and would later move the saw mills to the Prospect Road site where the business would continue from 1949 to 2000.
