Photographed here in around the 1940’s is the first scout hut in Alresford. The building which was originally a cow shed in the grounds of Alresford Rectory in Sun Lane was converted to a scout hut in 1928 by the, then, honorary secretary of Alresford Scouts the Reverend (later Canon) Andrew J Robertson. The old swimming pool, which was also in the old rectory grounds can be seen in front of the building.
