“Alresford Vagabonds” c.1909.
A troupe of talented local men and women, dressed in Pierrot Clowns Costumes, who entertained their audiences with light hearted singing and playing of musical instruments. Their performances around Alresford and the villages were always received with great acclaim and praise. Their name “Vagabonds” being derived from a delightful part song, composed by Eaton Faning, (1850-1927), a popular English composer.
