The old Tichborne Park, horse drawn, steam Fire Engine, stands in front of the Fire Station in Pound Hill, ready to join the the town’s celebrations in honour of the Coronation of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.

Steadying the horses (Jessie and Dina) is Stan Upton. On the engine from left to right are Fred Baldwin, Dennis Biggs, Bert Andrews, (unknown). Standing at the rear of the engine is Reg Biggs.
